Hey there! I'm Matthew Ballard!
I started Outpost Advisory because I believe business owners deserve more than someone who simply keeps the books. They deserve a financial partner who understands the numbers, asks the right questions, and helps them see what those numbers mean for the business they're building.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Southwestern Adventist University, and over the last 10 years, my career has given me the opportunity to work alongside CPAs, financial consultants, CFOs, COOs, business owners, and other executive leaders. That experience has shaped the way I look at finance, not simply as reporting what happened, but as a tool for understanding where a business stands and making better decisions about where it goes next.
For the last four years, I've worked closely with venture capital firms, overseeing their management companies at the controller level. I've seen firsthand the value that consistent financial oversight, strong reporting, and a clear understanding of the numbers can bring to owners.
